Co-Owner Edgewater

Dr. Tony Emadzadeh is a licensed physical therapist with a special interest in  orthopedic physical therapy and sports rehabilitation. He earned his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Kean University, as well as his B.S. with a double major in Public Health and Psychology from Rutgers University. 

As the co-owner of Exchange Physical Therapy Group-Edgewater, Tony brings a wealth of knowledge and dedication to his practice. He is certified in dry needling through the American Academy of Manipulative Therapy, which includes Ultrasound-Guided Dry Needling. He also completed training to utilize diagnostic ultrasound which allows him to collaborate with registered musculoskeletal sonographers that uses imaging to diagnose injuries within 24 hours, ensuring prompt and effective treatment for his patients.

Tony has taken courses for an evidence-based introduction to the Maitland-Australian approach to orthopedic manual therapy. This training focuses on the effective assessment and treatment of neuro-musculoskeletal disorders of the upper and lower limbs. He also utilizes modalities such as blood flow restriction, IASTM, kinesiotaping, and cupping therapy.

Tony has a special interest in philanthropy in the community, where he helped EPTG fundraise for Let’s Save Ma, an initiative that funds mammograms for uninsured patients. Alongside EPTG, he also helped raise $300,000 for the Liberty Humane Society, supporting low-cost spay and neuter programs for animals.

Throughout his career, Tony has worked with professional athletes who played in the NFL and MLB, as well as NCAA level athletes, helping them achieve peak performance and recover from injuries. Aside from treating athletes, he loves to work with the everyday working individual who has posture-related pain and dysfunction, as well as working with post surgical patients. With over five years of experience at our Weehawken clinic, three of which he served as clinic director, Tony continues to provide exceptional care and leadership. His dedication to his patients and his community make him a vital part of our team.
