Throughout his academic journey, Dr. Leo gained hands-on experience working as a personal trainer and with collegiate athletes in the strength and conditioning program at the University of Delaware. During his time at Columbia, he contributed to the Columbia RunLab, specializing in analyzing running mechanics for highly accomplished runners. His clinical experience includes rotations at NewYork-Presbyterian Och Spine Hospital, ColumbiaDoctors, and a private performance-based PT practice in Manhattan, giving him a well-rounded foundation in both hospital and outpatient settings.
Dr. Leo has worked with a wide range of patients, from high-level athletes to older adults, and has a particular interest in orthopedic conditions, chronic pain, and helping active individuals continue doing what they love. He’s passionate about creating a supportive and empowering environment where patients feel understood and motivated to reach their goals.
What drives Dr. Leo each day is the opportunity to connect with his patients, help them improve their functional capacity, and guide them toward long-term health and performance. He’s excited to serve the local community and grow as a clinician with the dedicated team at Exchange PT.
Outside of the clinic, Dylan enjoys staying active through running, hiking, exercising, and participating in obstacle course races like the Spartan Race to challenge himself. He also loves spending time with friends, watching and playing sports recreationally, and exploring new foods and experiences.
