Dr. Kristina Mueller is a Physical Therapist at Exchange Physical Therapy Group, Weekawken. She earned a B.S. in Health & Exercise Science from Rowan University in 2019, while competing as a collegiate softball player. She went on to earn her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Kean University in 2022, where she earned the “Kean University School of Physical Therapy Academic Excellence Award” for graduating top of her class.
During her time at Kean University, Dr. Kristina also had the pleasure of assisting in research and published an observational study involving balance confidence and community reintegration following brain injury. The article was featured in Brain Impairment journal in May 2022 and presented at the Brain Injury Alliance of New Jersey Annual Seminar in 2022.
During her past experiences, Dr. Kristina worked in both outpatient and inpatient settings. She previously worked at St. Clare’s Denville Hospital, where she split her time between acute care in the hospital and its outpatient clinic. As part of her graduate studies, Dr. Kristina completed rotations at various outpatient orthopedic clinics, where she gained experience treating orthopedic injuries, neurological conditions, and post-operative impairments. She also completed rotations working with specialty practices including lymphedema, oncology, pelvic floor, and concussion.
Dr. Kristina enjoys staying active. She loves running, sports, and anything related to the beach. Dr. Kristina wants to ensure her patients are able to enjoy the same level of activity when they leave her care. Patients can expect a hands-on approach where Dr. Kristina will challenge them to get back to what they love doing.
